Don't take it serious, know what you're getting isn't AAA or high end and really have someone or multiple people to play this with. I only recommend if you meet the right requirements. If you're looking for something AAA or high end, look somewhere else Steam has many other games that will make you happy. If you're looking for something to laugh at and have senseless fun with friends, family or a lover.this game is worth the buy. I need to really read some of these other reviews to see what's got this game left under mixed reviews. We knew we were getting a goofy non AAA title that would just be stupid fun to play and not meant to be taken serious. Know what you're getting into before you buy the game. Really my review on this stands with so many other games. This game wasn't made to look the nicest and definitely wasn't made to be enjoyed alone. What I did play of it was enjoyable, but would've been a lot more fun at a longer duration with the spouse.
Too bad their computer is as about as powerful as a potato.so we didn't really get the chance to play much. They had showed me some videos on it and we both agreed it looked fun to play. I see this game has mixed reviews which kind of saddens me. If I could describe Ratty Catty in one word, it would be "Masterpiece". After playing it and getting all of the endings, I can say with absolute confidence that Ratty Catty offers an experience that I will not forget for a very, very long time.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Ratty Catty. There are also a lot of neat customization options that are available to the player (for both the Ratty and the Catty), spawning a very unique aesthetic for the game. Team Catty is extremely enticing, however if a group chooses to all be on one team, the artificial intelligence that takes over for the opposite team exhibits extremely familiar behaviors to that of a human player. The multiplayer experience of Team Ratty vs. Knowing that a Ratty could be anywhere around you at any time is also very pressure-inducing and exciting. When a Catty manages to catch and defeat a Ratty, it is very satisfying, considering the Ratty are such small and quick targets. Each Ratty has a set amount of lives If they run out of lives, they die for good unless an ally Ratty revives them.Īs the Catty, it is your goal to defeat the Ratty and prevent them from collecting food and feeding it to their children. The pride a Ratty feels when feeding a baby to its fullest is gratifying, however the grief experienced when a baby Ratty perishes can be very upsetting. As time goes on, the Ratty's children slowly starve, creating a high-paced and intense atmosphere, and an incentive to work fast.
Whether you play as the protagonist (the Ratty) or the antagonist (the Catty), this game-play experience will surely draw you in for hours on end.Īs the Ratty, players face a massive, sometimes overwhelming environment in which they must collect food to provide for their children whilst avoiding the Catty. Depending on which ending the player receives, their mood may shift from uncomfortably sorrowful to unbearably sorrowful, or to unbearably curious, or to very hopeful - but, I won't spoil anything.Īs for the game-play, Ratty Catty is extremely fun. The way the Ratty (the new species of Rat created by millenniums of post-nuclear evolution) struggle to find food, provide for their families, and even attempt to just exist outside of their tiny, cramped homes (that they were forced into by the Catty) draws forth a powerful, agonizing reaction from the player. Set in a dystopian and post-nuclear environment where mutant felines known as the Catty dominate society, Ratty Catty shares the lesson of what chaos may ensue when one societal class rules over another. If anyone ever tells you that video games are not art forms, please confront them with this masterpiece The game-play, the customization, the artificial intelligence, the innovative multiplayer experience, and - perhaps most importantly - the story - it's all there. ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs
